Lbp3000 Driver For Mac
I just purchased my MacBook Pro 2 weeks ago. I thought everything was plug and play. I now have the Mac OS X; great. But it wouldn't recognize either my HP LJ 1020 or my Canon LBP 3000. Some kind soul did post a link to a driver for the HP. Some other kind soul did the same for the Canon, but I am having the same problem as others. The MacBook recognizes the printer, but when I go to print, it just says 'stopped.'
Canon i-SENSYS LBP3000 Driver Download Windows, Mac & Linux – Canon i-SENSYS LBP3000 Driver is the computer software needed to operate Canon i-SENSYS LBP3000 printer on Operating system. If you looking for this driver of Canon i-SENSYS LBP3000, Canon i-SENSYS LBP3000 Driver can be downloadable for totally free on this page at the middle of this article on the table Canon i-SENSYS LBP3000 is.
Also, the person posting the link for the Canon said it would eventually provide me English info, which I never found. I can read some Japanese and I loaded it, but, I'm not any further along. So, as I am gathering from these forums, is our only choice to wait until Canon finally gets its act together, or are we all forced to go out and buy new printers?
The Canon is a beautiful printer and works perfectly. Any comments/help/suggestions? Here is a link to the Canon laser printer driver page: It's in Japanese, but it's fairly idiot proof. Note: the drivers here DO NOT work for me under Leopard.
This is where I check every few days for an update. I read somewhere that Canon were trying to update their drivers by the end of this month, but I think that laser printers are somewhat down the pecking order compared to ink-jets and scanners. Meanwhile, I'm using the LBP 3000 with a Windows machine. Files I want to print from my Mac get saved as.PDF and printed from windows. Sorry for the bad news. In my conversational Japanese, I contacted Canon in Japan. They told me there was no driver for the Canon LBP 3000 that would work with Mac OS X 10.5.1.
This is really sad as I am forced to go and buy a new printer. The man I spoke to couldn't seem to think of another person in the entire company that might have information about this. I asked when it was going to come out and he said he didn't know and didn't have the information. So I suggest to all Apple users (I am a newbie, and a frustrated one) that before you 'level up' you better be sure that your new computer supports your beautiful laser printer, or you'll just be forced to get a new one. I wish Apple would get on board with this and 'handle' it. It's really not right to leave a consumer in this position.
I thought the whole thing about Apple was plug, play and go. There is a post from acroat69 which includes some posts about downloading a driver. I am unclear if this information specifically applies to Mac OS X 10.5 and a Canon LBP 3000.
Has anybody tried that combination? I still see no downloads on the Japanese Canon site for LBP300 for the OSX 10.5.
I have read on these posts that there is supposedly going to be a driver available this month. Does anyone have any more information? I am still in my Windows environment (via Parallels Desktop) so I can use my printer. The instant Canon gives us a driver, it's goodbye to Windows. I'm afraid to change any settings in Leopard (renaming CAPT to CAPTold) unless there are others out there who have been successful.
